Wellness with Becky Yoga Shala is a cosy little sanctuary in Horsforth, West Yorkshire.
The shala is located in a quiet residential area behind Leeds Personal Training on Low Lane, where it is easy to focus on your yoga practice and close off your mind from daily chores and worries. Classes are small and intimate, with a maximum of 8 - 10 students, thus enabling each student to get a lot of attention, adjustments and support during their practice. At the Wellness with Becky Yoga Shala, everyone is welcome to practice, from beginners to seasoned yogi's... and private classes are also available.
So, whether it's a remedy or prevention, for aches and pains or whether you're looking to be more relaxed and mindful, book into a class my Yoga Shala.

What I Teach
Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series is taught at Wellness with Becky Yoga Shala. Ashtanga literally means 8 limbs in Sanskrit and consists of external and internal disciplines and Vinyasa is synchronicity with breath.
The Primary Series in Sanskrit is known as Yoga Chikitsa which detoxifies and cleanses the system and also aligns the body. The Primary Series is the foundation to all the other series in Ashtanga Vinyasa.
In Ashtanga, the same sequence is done repeatedly. This enables the student to develop their own self practice known as Mysore practice. The absolute beauty of the practice is also that it is accessible to anyone. There are always modifications of postures students can do, so the practice is adaptable to what each individual student needs.
Pre natal Yoga is taught on request. Currently they are only offered on a 1-1 basis to ensure that the mum-to-be get all the attention they need. In pre natal yoga, lots props are used to support the practice with plenty of restorative asana to help calm the nervous system, prepare for birth and to connect with your baby.
Every couple of weeks, Becky will do a hip mobility, a midline or postural strength, a core strength or a restorative class. These are like mini workshops that help students to work on specific areas within their practice. These classes also help students with their own self practice of course.
Workshops are held at Wellness with Becky Yoga Shala. Whether it is a workshop on Backbending, Inversions, Vinyasa or about developing your self practice, there really is something for everyone.
Private classes are taught on a 1-1 or small group basis. Whether it is help with an injury, to deepen your practice, or if you have never done yoga before and want to start off with some 1-1 classes first then private classes are a great option for you. Private classes enable you to have all of Becky's attention, where she will help you build a practice around what your needs are.
TRE© is a set of simple exercises that help to re-activate a natural tremoring mechanism in the body to release muscular tension and stress. It can leave you feeling calmer, improve sleep and help you have an overall feeling of well-being.
